As of the latest update, though, it seems that Hogwarts Legacy players can't use Unforgivable Curses on Cassandra Mason, something that wasn't mentioned in the patch notes. This means that anyone hit with Avada Kedavra dies instantly, which is something that Hogwarts Legacy players have taken advantage of to make quick work of some of the game's bosses. While there were some tweaks to the Unforgivable Curses to make them fit better in a video game, they mostly work like they do in the Harry Potter books and movies.
